A funeral service was held July 30 for Doreen Mardarello Reid, 62. She passed away July 26 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She owned and operated the Brick Thrift Store, Brick. She was born in Weehawken, and had lived between Weehawken and Brick all of her life. Mrs. Reid’s first love was devoting herself to serving Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was very active in the ministries at Laurelton Park Baptist Church, Brick, where she was a member. She volunteered at the Brick Thrift Shore in Brick before purchasing it. She had a very generous and loving heart. She devoted her life to helping her husband and all others. Surviving are her husband, Duane Reid; a stepson, Christopher Reid, of Brick; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Reid, of Brick; a brother, Joseph Mardarello, of Jackson; a sister, Marie Walsh and her husband, Harry, of Bayville; and several nieces and nephews.
