Wicked Riders post two victories in co-ed softball

The Wicked Riders posted two victories in the Bayonne Recreation Co-Ed Softball League as they defeated Camp Anawanna, 13-4, and Team Punishment, 15-4. The Riders have upped their team record to 10-0.
In the Camp Anawanna game, the Riders jumped out to an early 6 – 0 first inning lead. Vinny Oszmanski and Melissa Rosa each walked while Frankie Ajosa hit a three-run homer. Danielle Dugan singled and scored on Timmy Yurchak’s triple and came home on Mike Rizzo’s two-run blast. The winners added three more runs in the second. Danielle Barakat singled, Vinny Oszmanksi and Rosa each doubled, and Ajosa followed up with a run-scoring triple. Anthony Oszmanski was the winning hurler and contributed two hits to the winning cause.
Camp Anwanna’s Frankie Flynn, Tara Lake and Marissa Flynn each had two hits in defeat.
The Riders scored 13 first-inning runs versus Team Punishment. The highlights of the uprising were Timmy Yurchak’s grand slam homer, RBI doubles by Ajosa, Anthony and Vinny Oszmanski, and RBI by Barakat and Desiree DiGenio. Anthony Yurchak, who hit a two-run homer in the second inning, was the winning hurler and received defensive support from Kerri Hillinski and Lauren Farina.
Team Punishment’s offensive attack was led by Wayne Colegrove, Mary Doolan and Travis Camacho with two hits apiece.
