N.J. Democrats have turned a blind eye to corruption

Dear Editor:
I have been a Hoboken resident since 2001. I have maintained a residence in New Jersey since 1983. In all that time I have never entered a polling booth and pulled the lever for any candidate other than those running on the Democratic ticket. I have supported the party with both my vote and my checkbook. That stops today. I hold the Hudson County Democratic Party responsible for the events of the last few weeks. They and the Democratic leadership of this state have turned a blind eye to the rampant corruption that plagues Hoboken. One party rule in Hoboken has produced a bloated and broken city government top heavy in political cronies and party hacks. Enough is enough, gentlemen.
Governor Corzine, you are the leader of our state government and the New Jersey Democratic Party. Try carrying this state in November without me and the thousands of other Hudson County residents who have formed your party’s foundation. Your allegiance, Governor, should be to the people of this state and not the Democratic Party.
