Bayonne schools restore DARE after it was cut

Federal grants will be used to restore a portion of the popular anti-drug abuse program DARE to the Bayonne schools, said Mayor Mark Smith this week.
DARE was cut from the schools earlier this year as a casualty of municipal and school budget cuts.
The City Council is expected to vote on the matter in September.
The schools superintendent said the restored program will include the educational aspects of DARE, but not all of the social activities.
