A funeral mass took place Sept. 18 at St. Nicholas Church for Joseph E. Doyle, 70. He passed away Sept. 14 at Christ Hospital. Mr. Doyle was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. A retired truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 560, he was also a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and communicant of St. Nicholas Church. Mr. Doyle was predeceased by his wife, the late Carmela Doyle. He was the companion of Mary Bues; the father of John Doyle and wife Rose, Christine Matzek and her fiance Mark Lepore, Joseph Doyle (JCPD) and wife Gina, and Timothy Doyle; the brother of Elizabeth (Betty) Ray, Patricia D’Elia, Richard, Mickey, Jimmy, Tommy Doyle and the late Rev. John Doyle, Mary Dooley, Florence Yanick and Kay McCorkell. Mr. Doyle is also survived by his grandchildren, Danielle, Gabby and Joseph Doyle and Stephanie Matzek.
