Every week in the ‘Reporter’ I read of a developer doing ‘this’ or doing ‘that’. Whether it’s a good thing or a questionable thing remains to be seen.
Yes, some developers have made ‘improvements’ to our town, and a lot of good things have happened over the last 10 or so years. But, how about the tax abatements developers get when they put up another ‘cookie cutter’ luxury condo and then don’t have to pay taxes on it for 10-20 years! This really hurts our town’s income! There should be absolutely no reason for tax increase in Hoboken!
