Ideas for Mason, Zimmer, etc.

Dear Editor:
As always, I enjoy reading all the letters in the Letters to the Editor section. I totally agree with David Cogswell’s letter with regards to the campaign commercials that Mason has unleashed upon us. However, the dual position that Zimmer has right now makes me very uneasy. I do not support either Mason or Zimmer but the dual position has got me thinking about how business is run at City Hall. I’ve only been here for about 5 years but I’ve grown to love Hoboken. As of now though, I have not made up my mind on who to support. As to the walkway bridge from Hoboken to Jersey City, I am glad that it’s finished and its open 24 hours. I work at Target in Jersey City and now I do not have to buy a light rail monthly pass and the walking is good for me. I am very curious about the vacant lot right beside the W hotel. I wonder if this space is for a park. I hope so. With regards to festivals around here. I am just wondering why we cannot have them on Saturdays, that way if the weather is bad we can have it on the following day. I also hope that they consider having festivals at Pier A Park. I think there is plenty of space, it’s near the train station so hopefully there will be more people attending and there are less people that will be disturbed by it late at night. As always, I look forward to reading more letters. More power to this local paper.

Respectfully yours,
Maria Theresa L. Rivera-Bartletta
