A private family service took place for George Lopez, 56, of Albrightsville Pa., formerly of Union City. He passed away Sept. 13 at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of Eleanor Lopez. Born in Puerto Rico he was the son of Maria Lopez. George was a landscaper for Jack Frost and Split Rock in Lake Harmony. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Penn Forest Fire Company. Surviving him are his wife, his mother, and his sons: Jason of Harrisburg, George of Massachusetts and Christopher of Albrightsville; his daughter Lisa Cannoto of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren: Alex and Nicholas Lopez and Charles Macy; and eight brothers and sisters.
