Woman robs bank in WNY

WEST NEW YORK–Police are looking for a woman who was seen on surveillance video allegedly robbing the TD Bank located on 6137 Bergenline Ave. in West New York Tuesday, Oct. 20 at around noon. According to West New York police, the woman gave a slip to the teller to ask for money and to notify her that she had a weapon. The female suspect left the scene with approximately $850. The suspect wore a New York Yankees baseball cap. Police said she was of short stature with a heavier build.
This marks the second time this branch has been robbed and the third bank robbery in West New York in the past two and a half months.
Previously, the same TD Bank branch was robbed on Sept. 9 by a male suspect wearing a military camouflage hat. The man was alleged to be Francisco Marejo of Jersey City who was arrested for the crime.
In similar style, a male suspect robbed the Bank of America branch located on 6050 Bergenline Ave. on Oct. 9 at around 1 p.m. He left scene with a metal box containing $38,000. The suspect has been described as wearing a Yankees hat, a white t-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers.
