Lady Commander and Knight Commander

Kathleen A. Gluck, a nursing administrative coordinator at Hoboken University of Medical Center, and her husband, Jeffrey, were recently promoted in rank to lady commander and knight commander, respectively, of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, an ancient papal order of knighthood established during the First Crusade in 1099, into which they were initially invested in 2006. The ceremony took place in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City, on 26 September 2009, presided over by His Eminence, Edward Cardinal Egan, Archbishop Emeritus of New York and Grand Prior of the Eastern Lieutenancy of the Order. Mrs. Gluck is a 1980 graduate of the former St. Mary Hospital School of Nursing; Mr. Gluck is an attorney in private practice in North Bergen.
