HOBOKEN: ZIMMER LANDSLIDE SO FAR with most of vote in

HOBOKEN — With more than 2/3 of the 36 Hoboken election districts counted, Acting Mayor Dawn Zimmer is so far leading the pack of seven candidates for a four-year term as mayor.
Elizabeth Mason and Frank Raia are far behind. However, the remaining districts may be from parts of town more favorable to those candidates.
Don’t forget also that the candidates with the biggest machines are often able to amass hundreds of absentee ballots to win.
Will Zimmer get four more years? Or will her sometime-friend, sometime-opponent Beth Mason pull it off? Mason spent about four times as much money as of Oct. 23 than Zimmer did, approximately $400,000!
Then there’s the possibility that Hoboken natives Frank Raia or Kimberly Glatt will tap into the Hoboken native vote.
