BREITHAUPT, JAMES FRANCIS

A funeral mass was offered Dec. 2 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church for James Francis Breithaupt of Hoboken. He passed away Nov. 18 after a short battle with cancer. Jimmy served his country honorably. He was the chess champion of Hoboken High School and received two medals for swimming (one for saving a life). He entertained “Special Children” at the “One to One” organization run by Geraldo Rivera and was made an honorable member. He was a loving and caring friend to all animals. Jimmy ran into a burning building in Hoboken to save animals trapped inside. He made it a point to be available to any one who needed him. Jimmy was the son of Hoboken policeman James Breithaupt Sr. and Judy Serra. The cherished deceased members are his “Nana” Lilly Breithaupt and his daughter Jennifer Breithaupt. He was brother to Carol Ann Giambona and Angela Serra; the uncle to Paris Branda, Darlene Uhrig, Paris, Nicky, Thomas James, Anthony Jude, and Lilly, and cousin to Lorraine Amato and best friend of James Lyons. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
