A funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 2 at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Secaucus, for George Diekhaus, 83, a lifelong resident of Secaucus. He passed away Nov. 27. George was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he served in the European Theater. George worked for Colgate Palmolive Company in Jersey City for 36 years in the Plant Protection Division retiring in 1988. He was a member of The Colgate Retirees Association. He was the husband of Anita Dolores Diekhaus; the father of Gail, Linda, Richard and the late Robert and William Diekhaus; the brother of Dorothy Zydel, Edna Staron, Frances Zydel and the late Catherine Gaggero, Stephen and Victor Diekhaus, and was uncle to many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
