Planning Board meeting Tuesday

The Weehawken Planning Board will meet Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. at the second floor chambers of the Weehawken Municipal Building at 400 Park Ave.
On the agenda are payment of bills, a resolution approving a curb cut with variances for an application at 2412 Palisade Ave., a public hearing on an amended final site plan application to install controlled parking at the Sheraton Hotel at Harbor Boulevard, and any other business that may arise.

Police ask for toy drive donations

The Weehawken PBA is asking for donations for their annual toy drive to benefit the Cops-for-Tots program which gives the toys to needy groups in the area. The public is asked to donate a new unwrapped toy for either a boy or a girl, from infant to 15 years of age, by bringing it to one of the two Weehawken police stations, at 400 Park Ave. or at 4518 Park Ave. Another drop off location is the Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad at 201 Highwood Ave.

Weehawken 150th Anniversary Gala

The public is invited to a major event: the Weehawken Anniversary Gala, which will be held Friday, Dec. 4 at the Venetian in Garfield, N.J. Tickets are now on sale.
The elegant evening will begin with cocktails at 7:30 p.m. and a dinner to follow. Black tie is optional. Tickets are $150, which entitles the holder to participate in a drawing of “exceptional” gifts.
