HUDSON COUNTY – Hudson County Sheriff Juan Perez announced this week that 39 men were arrested from Nov. 1 – 23 for owing child support payments totaling $452,530.
Of the 39, 21 are from Jersey City, 5 each from Bayonne and Union City, 3 from Hoboken, 2 from North Bergen and 1 each from Guttenberg, Kearny and West New York. They owe an amount ranging from a $257 to 58,448.
Perez said going after deadbeat dads is an “ongoing effort” and a “priority” by the Sheriff’s Office. – RK
