A memorial mass was held Nov. 27 at St. Francis Church, Hoboken, for James M. Cassano. “Jimmy” passed away Nov. 20. Jimmy was born in Jersey City and was a lifetime resident. He was a cook at his family business, Mahnke’s Deli in Jersey City. He was the son of Bernice and Joseph Cassano, Sr.; the brother of Joseph Cassano, Jr. and his wife Tanya; the uncle to Hailey and Christopher Cassano; the nephew to Earle Britten and his wife Debbie; and cousin to Douglas, Tyler and Timothy Britten.
