Funeral services took place Dec. 20 for William T. Beam, Sr., 66. He passed away Dec. 18, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was born in Jersey City where he resided before moving to Toms River in 1999. William was a postal worker for the United States Post office in Fort Lee for 18 years retiring in 2001. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and had been a member of the Brick Elks No. 2151 and the American Legion Post 348. He was predeceased by his father William Beam. Surviving are his wife Patricia Ferrara Beam; mother Catherine Beam, of Jersey City; his children, William Jr., of Lodi, Charles, of Toms River and Dawn, of Jersey City; brother James and his wife Bernie, of Forrest Hills; sister Kathy Pilla and her husband Tony, of North Arlington and five grandchildren, Katelynn, Alexa, Matthew, Charles Jr. and Dylan. Services arranged by the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River.
