WEST NEW YORK — The “Together We Can” organization in West New York has announced in a press release that on Monday at noon, the West New York town clerk will announce the results of the just over 6,000 petitions submitted to recall current West New York Mayor Silverio “Sal” Vega and the four commissioners.
According to the press release, if town clerk Carmela Riccie approves the petitions, a recall election is expected to take place in February of 2010.
“Dr. Felix E. Roque and Together We Can organization will finally get an answer of the continuous effort to recall the current town administration due to tax hikes, lack of leadership and fiscal irresponsibility,” read the press release. The Together We Can organization is being led by Dr. Felix Roque who is hoping to become the next mayor of West New York.
