WEEHAWKEN AND BEYOND — On Dec. 15 at approximately 10:52 p.m., a man was caught allegedly shoplifting at the Pathmark Shopping Center, 4100 Park Ave. in Weehawken. He was arrested for allegedly stealing $89.95 worth of salami.
He told police his name was Rafael, but later it was revealed that his real name was John. Police said he had multiple warrants out for his arrest.
Because of the baloney about his name, the man was charged with hindering a police investigation in addition to the charge of shoplifting salami.
