Funeral services took place Dec. 28 at St. Peter’s Church in Belleville for Jose and Maria S. Fernandez, married 58 years, who passed away within three days of each other on Dec. 21 and 24 respectively. Born in Havana, Cuba, they resided in Weehawken for many years. They leave behind their daughters, Beatriz, Asuncion and Irene and sons-in-law, Mariano and Tom, as well as grandchildren, Tommy, Chris, and Andrew. They are also survived by Maria’s sister Conchita Prado; brother-in-law Carlos; niece Cristy, as well as goddaughter Denise and her parents, Delia and Raul Lopez.
