A memorial service was held Jan. 20 for Mark James Effinger, 45. He passed away Jan. 17. He was born in Milwaukee, Wis. Mark was vice president of Global Services and Support of Mformation located in Edison and he was in the telecommunications and software industry for more than 26 years. Prior to joining Mformation, Mark served as corporate vice president of Worldwide Engineering at Telcordia Technologies since 1986. He started with the Bell System in 1984 at Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T). Mark held a bachelors of science from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and a masters of science in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California. Mark is survived by his parents, Frank and Anita Effinger of Bella Vista, Ark. He was the brother of Kelly (Daniel) Thompson, Michelle (Bryan) Dornstreich and Tracey (Michael) Mike; the uncle of Jack, Max, Liv and Jae Thompson and Drew Dornstreich.
