Dear Editor:
The result of the municipal election of nineteen ninety eight (1998) was a devastating loss to the citizens of Union City. Back in 1998, the political machine, The Alliance Political Organization won the municipal election and their political leaders sent the City of Union City into a brink of bankruptcy. As I recall when Mayor Brian P. Stack was on the outside, he always had Commissioner Chris Irizarry on his side and they never stopped contributing to our Community. Fortunately for the betterment of the Community Mayor Stack was appointed Mayor of this City in two thousand (2000). Two years later in two thousand two (2002) leading the political group “Union City First” Brian together once again with Commissioner Irizarry landed a big Municipal victory and today Union City is a diverse community that enjoys prosperity.
This year Tuesday May, 11, 2010 is the Municipal election of Union City. I anticipate that Mayor Stack’s team will have opposition. I can guarantee that Mayor Stack will not run away from the challenge. Mayor Stack is running on his flawless record. Today Union City is better than four years ago (2006). Today the streets are safer than four (4) years ago, and that is because Mayor Stack holds the police Department accountable for what takes place in the streets. Furthermore Brian continues and makes sure that our Educational system does not short change the potential and educational success of all our children. Under the leadership of Brian P. Stack the spirit of the citizens has been reestablished. As an active resident of this community I would like to publicly endorse the candidacy of Mayor Stack and his entire ticket because they have delivered effective representation to all who live in this community.
