Secaucus Middle School Principal Impreveduto resignsPosted March 4, 2010

SECAUCUS — Secaucus Middle School Principal Pat Impreveduto submitted a letter of resignation Wednesday night to the Secaucus Board of Education.
Impreveduto has been absent from work since mid-September when he had a slip-and-fall accident at school and reportedly injured his back.
Because his accident happened at work, Impreveduto initially went out on worker’s compensation. Last fall, School Administrator Ed Walkiewicz told the Secaucus Reporter, “Mr. Impreveduto was released back to work on Nov. 17, 2009, by the worker’s compensation doctor.”
Since then, according to Walkiewicz, Impreveduto had been out on paid sick leave. (He had 310 days of sick leave as of July 1, according to the administrator.)
While out on this extended leave Impreveduto continued attending township committee meetings in Holmdel, where he serves as deputy mayor.
While Impreveduto was out, the board appointed an acting prinicipal, Rob Daniello, who had been director of humanities. — Assata Wright
