Funeral services were held Feb. 21 for Ruth E. Horan, 85. She passed away Feb. 16 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifetime area resident before moving to Allentown, NJ in April. Ruth was a lifetime member of the Second Reformed Church of Jersey City where she was a past deacon and church secretary and was a member of the Mother’s Club and the Choir. Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Horan; four children, Lynda Sigtermans and her husband Gerard, of Allentown, NJ, C. Richard Horan of Bridgewater, NJ, Jan Somers of Bloomsbury, NJ and Katie Pollinger of Newtown, Pa.; three sisters, Lois Reilly of Forked River, NJ, Audrey Graham of Greenbrook, NJ and Joan Kuss of Maywood, NJ; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
