A funeral service took place Feb. 19 at Metropolitan AME Zion Church, Jersey City, for Mary Harper. She passed away Feb. 10 at home. She was a member of Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Jersey City for over 60 years. As a member she served as Sunday School Treasurer and was a choir member. She was also a member of the Jersey City Chapter of the NAACP. She was the wife of the late Herbert Harper. She is survived by her brother Takbir Yasin and a host of other relatives and friends.
