Funeral services have been held for Catherine Gallagher. She passed away at Jersey City Medical Center on Feb. 17 after a brief illness. Catherine was born in Montreal, Canada and lived in Brooklyn most of her life, before moving to Jersey City in 1982. Catherine was a long time administrative assistant at various firms on Wall Street and Jersey City. As a devout Catholic, she was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City. Catherine was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Gallagher, Jeanne Cruz, Cathy Hardy, Patricia Meko and her husband Steven; her grandchildren, Joseph, Danielle, Jessica, Genevieve, Brianne, Justin, Paul, Thomas, and John; her great grandchildren Jalisa and Joseph; her brothers, Joseph and his wife Dorothy, John and his wife Janet, and Robert and his wife Mary; sisters, Teresa, Sheila, and Geraldine, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen and Margaret. Services arranged by the Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
