HOBOKEN — The newspaper AM New York claims on its website today that even though you can’t get the popular Shamrock Shake at McDonald’s in New York anymore, an enterprising person was able to order one at the store in Hoboken.
They write:
Uncle O’Grimacey fanatics, rejoice! (Sort of).
The Shamrock Shake, McDonald’s much-sought St. Patrick’s Day treat, hadn’t been widely seen in the tri-state area in years, but this March, it quietly returned to several franchises.
Though it’s sold out at the Union Square and Herald Square locations, you can still find it in Hoboken, at the 24-hour store at 234 Washington St., just one PATH stop from Manhattan. But not for long.
Sounds like a reason to cheer, but St. Pat’s is over, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it was soon too late. Really, though, would it be that hard to make your own?
