Dear Editor:
The Holy Name Society of St. Francis Church, Hoboken, is honoring long-time member Joseph Rabbia at a Beef and Brew Dinner on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hoboken Elks Lodge. Rabbia has been a member of the group for more than 40 years and has served it in several roles, including president.
Rabbia is also being honored for his other contributions to St. Francis, including membership in the Third Order of St. Francis. Over the years he has sung in the church’s choir, coached youth baseball, was a member of the CYO and of the bowling league and assisted in many parish activities. Rabbia’s friends and those who served with him in many of those endeavors are invited to the dinner.
Tickets for the dinner, at $40 a person, may be ordered by contacting Michael Cannarozzi at (201) 707-6841 or Mark Aurigemma at (201) 303-8035. Only 100 tickets will be sold; none at the door. In addition to a complete beef steak dinner, the event will include soda, beer, wine, coffee and dessert. A cash bar will also be available for those who prefer other choices.
