I am writing to convey the importance of participating in the 2010 Census. In the coming weeks, you will receive Census surveys in the mail and be visited by representatives from the United States Census Bureau. Your participation in this important process is critical. The population figure which is measured by the Census often determines the level of funding for important projects related to education, infrastructure, public safety and other important government functions. We need your help to ensure that local residents receive every available dollar for such improvements. I encourage you to share the importance of participating in the Census with family members and friends. The process is quick and easy and encourages residents to become involved in an important government process. If you should have any questions regarding the completion of your Census forms, please do not hesitate to call my office. Make sure you are counted!
