Celebrating reading with Seuss
________

Seuss’ birthday was on March 2, and while the author died in 1991, the date is used nationally to encourage literacy through Read Across America Day.
So on March 2 at 4:30 p.m., around 30 children under the age of 8 were treated to Seuss stories, Seuss characters, a visit from Mayor Nicholas Sacco and of course, a birthday cake.
