Vote for Mary Ann

Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to ask the Citizens of the Town of Secaucus to join with me in supporting Mary Ann Weiner for the Secaucus Board of Education on April 20, 2010. Being someone who has known Mary Ann for over 42 years, we are married 38 years as of April 8, I know her character, integrity and dedication to all that she does. Mary Ann is an independent thinker. She is not going to go along with the crowd. She will investigate, evaluate and decide based on the facts. She will never just do the “popular thing.” She is a sincere and true person. Mary Ann has always been involved in our school system and our community. She is a former teacher and mother of two children who went through the Secaucus school system. She was active in the PTAs, as well as, with the youth in our church.
She is a hard worker. She does not sit back and give orders, instead she will roll up her sleeves and go to work. She believes in Secaucus. She believes in the education of our youth. She is a champion of the people who cannot defend themselves. She is an advocate of people who cannot argue for themselves. Mary Ann will not let politics come into our schools or let it dictate what is to be done.
When Mary Ann attended a board of education meeting and saw the dissention between the school board, administration, teachers, union and parents, she was immediately concerned about the effect on our children’s education and addressed everyone in attendance.
Mary Ann will not be a “yes” person. She will watch the spending of taxpayers dollars and will independently monitor and review proposed programs for our schools to see if they merit spending.
Please join me in Voting 3A, for Mary Ann Weiner, on April 20, 2010. Thank you.

Peter M. Weiner, Esq.
