Funeral services were held April 29 at Metropolitan AME Zion Church, Jersey City, for Rev. Margaret Carmichael. She passed away April 24 in Jersey City. Rev. Carmichael was an active member at Metropolitan AME Zion Church, was a marriage facilitator at City Hall in Jersey City, and she was an Eastern Star. She was the mother of Henrietta E. Richardson and the late Henry S. Byrd and Esteese Johnson; daughter of the late Joseph and Corine Wright; sister of Ander Lee and Joseph Wright, Etherine Murphy, and the late Lucius , Leroy, Edward and Curl Wright and Dazerine Blue; grandmother of Antwuanette Brown, Antwuan and Samuel Wilkins, Alea Fitz, Ashanti and Umojia Jackson; and also survived by her niece Denise Blue McNeill and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
