WEEHAWKEN — Mayor Richard Turner and the incumbent slate of town council members were awarded four more years on Tuesday after the uncontested municipal election came to a close.
Although they were the only ones running, the Town Council members still hit the streets to rally support and encourage voters to get to the polls.
Instead of campaigning for themselves over the past month, the mayor and the Town Council held neighborhood forums to talk with residents and find out their goals, problems, and objectives for the next four years in Weehawken.
From among the re-elected council members, they will choose a mayor, likely to be Richard Turner again.
The vote count when the day was done was:
Weehawken Council-at-Large

Carmela Silvestri-Ehret: 354
