Gov proposes 2.5 percent raise limit for teachers, cops, gov’t workers; Hoboken mayor attends

HUDSON COUNTY – At a 12:30 press conference today, Gov. Chris Christie was to propose a 2.5 percent limit on annual raises for teachers, police, firefighters, and city workers.
Watch for some protests from the rank and file.
Among those attending the press conference, which will include a “mayor’s toolkit,” will be Democratic Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer.
Several of her town’s unions are still awaiting final contracts.
