Private funeral services were held for Joseph Macola, 77. He passed away April 23 at Laurel Bay Health Care Center in Keansburg. Born in Hoboken, he last resided in Holmdel for many years. He was a fork lift operator for Maxwell House Coffee in Hoboken for 35 years, retiring in 1991. He was predeceased by his wife Frances and his children, Joseph Macola, Jr., Charles O’Conner and Kathleen Parzych. Surviving to cherish his memory are two children, Phil Macola and his wife Susan, and Marie Nolin and her husband Rick. He was the grandfather of eight grandchildren and five beautiful great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
