DAPUZZO, MARTIN J

Funeral mass was celebrated May 4 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Hoboken for Martin J. Dapuzzo, 87, a lifelong Hoboken resident. He passed away April 30 at the Cranford Health Center in Cranford, N.J. He was a retired presser for Jacob Brothers Clothing in Hoboken for many years and then was a chief custodian at Hoboken High School for 15 years, retiring in 1986. Martin was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who was honorably discharged in 1945. He was an avid member of the Troy Social and Athletic Club and a member of the Hoboken Teachers Union as a school custodian for many years. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Dapuzzo. He is survived by his only daughter, Virginia Martin, and her husband Jack; two brothers, Anthony and Paul Dapuzzo; and two sisters, Mildred Lombardo and Josephine Crismale. Martin was a grandfather to Sean and his wife Amber and Patrick and his fiancee Deirdre. A host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews also survive him. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
