Successful ‘Taste of Weehawken’ will help support library

Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Weehawken Free Public Library and Media Center along with the Board of Trustees, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in making our 10th Annual A Taste of Weehawken such a tremendous success.
Despite these tough economic times, our community – as always – came together, making this Taste our most successful event ever. This year we saw record-breaking attendance, welcoming more guests to Taste than ever before!
In particular, we would like to thank the fine restaurants and proprietors that participated, including Allied Beverage Group, Antonia’s by the Park, Amanda’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Carlo’s Bakery, Charrito’s, Chart House, The Clinton Social, DeCache Restaurant & Lounge, Flaming Burrito, G.P.’s, Giannone Wine & Liquor Co., GoodieBox Bake Shop, Harbor Bar & Brasserie, Houlihan’s, Lorraine’s Table, The Madison Bar & Grill, Paula at Rigoletto, Porto Leggero, Red House Coffee Roasters, Rita’s Italian Ice-Hoboken, Rosa de Saron Florist, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Tomaso’s, and Touch of Spice. We also want to thank our fine chefs-in-training and talented musicians from Weehawken High School, as well as the countless individuals and businesses who donated services, supplies and many, many hours to help made the evening such a success.
The funds raised by the Taste will help us sustain Library programming, in particular those for our children, such as the popular Circle Time, Story Time, and Summer Reading Programs.
Your continued support of these fund-raising programs has contributed to making our Weehawken Free Public Library and Media Center among the best in the state. We look forward to everyone’s continued support and welcoming you all back next year for our 11th Annual A Taste of Weehawken.

Sincerely,

Richard F. Turner,
Mayor
Leona M. Nersesian,
President, Library Board of Trustees
