HUDSON COUNTY – The pig races, rides, and food aren’t all to look forward to at next month’s State Fair Meadowlands, which runs from mid June through early July. The promoters announced the following attractions:
• Sea Lion Splash – Cuddly, splashy rescued sea lions
• Piccadilly Circus – Daring acrobats, majestic animals and hilarious clowns
• Tomato Fight – Jersey fresh! A Squishy mess! June 19
• Record-Breaking Bubble Wrap® Popping Event/Fashion Show – Jump/pop to your heart’s content to celebrate 50 years of Bubble Wrap, June 27
• Aerial Stunt Show featuring the Batcopter, from the original Batman TV series – Plus panoramic sightseeing rides
• Returning Favorites – Racing Pigs, Hypnotist Steve Bayner, World of Wonder, Palace of Illusion and more
• Second Annual Auto and Bike Show – on July 2 and 3
• Fabulous Fireworks – on July 3 and 4
Fair hours are as follows: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to midnight; Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to midnight. Special hours on July 3 and 4 are from 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and July 5 from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. On June 17, opening night, gates open 5 p.m.
