Recently, Ryder University in New Jersey held their Mercer County Kung-Fu and Karate Championship. U.W.A. superstar Johnny O’Brien won the Point Sparring Jr. Black Belt Championship.
The promoter of the championship was Master Ivan Mendez, under the directions of Joe Lewis. In attendance were various kung-fu and karate masters from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
Johnny ousted his formable junior opponents by using U.W.A. Martial Arts winning techniques and speed. He is motivated by Coach Gary O’Brien, who is his father and a top rated coach.
Results: Johnny O’Brien, Junior Black Belt, placed first in sparring, and second in forms and weapons.
