First ‘Windows on Washington’ hob’art exhibit opens

The members of hob’art, the cooperative gallery of Hoboken, opened their first “Windows on Washington” gallery on April 23 in an empty storefront at 716 Washington St.
The space was donated by real estate agent Barbara Tulko for hob’art’s use until it is rented.
The first group exhibition, “Art Works,” features art by the members of the board of the hob’art gallery.
“In addition to Ms. Tulko,” said hob’art Publicity Director Roselyn Rose, “this would not have become a reality without the help of Mayor Dawn Zimmer, Councilmen Peter Cunningham and Dave Mello, and Cultural Affairs Supervisor Geri Fallo.”
Other supporters include Freeholder Anthony Romano and Maurice Fitzgibbons, a member of the State Council on the Arts.
“President Liz Cohen and I cannot thank them enough for all the support they offered us,” Rose said, “as well as the Hoboken Reporter for their continued publicizing of all of our local shows.”
