A funeral mass was held June 7 at St. Ann’s Church for Peter Pisciotta, 84. He passed away June 3 at Harborview Health Care Center, Jersey City. Born in Hoboken, Peter was a lifelong resident. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving in the Battle of the Bulge, the Battle of Ardennes, and was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the American Campaign Medal. Peter worked for the Hoboken Board of Education’s maintenance department for many years. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Domenico and Emma Pisciotta and his brother, Vincent “Jimmy” Pisciotta, and his sister Rose Vitale. He is survived by his brothers, Steven and Armando Pisciotta; his sisters, Mrs. Emily Orsini and Ida Conahan; and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
