NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND — The Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA), planned to participate in a demonstration at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in front of a controversial commercial development on River Road.
The site, being developed by Avak Properties, LLC and U&G Development, has been cleared of rocks and dirt over the last couple of weeks for a proposed Walgreens, Bank of America and coffee shop.
According to a LiUNA press release, they expected to demonstrate “potential safety hazards on the job.” — Tricia Tirella
