Report: Alleged carjacker of North Bergen man was to be banned from casinos

NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND — The Philadelphia Inquirer said in a detailed article today that the man arrested for allegedly carjacking North Bergen resident Martin Caballero last week was supposed to add himself to a self-exclusion list to be banned from casinos as a condition of his release from prison two months ago. However, the newspaper reported that he did not show up on any lists.
The alleged carjacker had been in trouble with the law for many years, and more recently, so had his alleged co-conspirator in the carjacking, a younger woman who is believed to be his girlfriend.
Caballero’s body was found early Sunday morning on a farm off of the Atlantic City Expressway.
