Dear Editor:
As President of the Central Avenue Special Improvement District, I’d like to extend my appreciation for the prompt actions of the Department of Public Works. I count on the City to continually serve its constituents and once again, I am proud to say that its services have proved to our community how much it cares.
On June 10 at 10 a.m., Mr. John “Supermann” Eckhardt and Mr. James Owen meticulously replaced the benches on the corner of Bowers Street and Central Avenue that were damaged due to a motor vehicle accident on June 5. I am overwhelmed by their tremendous efforts to mend these resting places in such a timely fashion, as each bench is very much loved by our senior community and our shoppers.
With the help of our City, the Central Avenue business district continues to grow its reputation for being a safe and enjoyable area for residents of the Heights. I once again, thank the DPW and the City for its immediate response to our request for assistance and commend the flawless labor of both Mr. Eckhardt and Mr. Owen.
Keep up the good work!
Respectfully submitted,
Michael Yun
President, CASID
