‘A Fair Shake May 30, 2010 Hoboken to shoulder largest county tax hike.’ Mayor Zimmer, why hasn’t the issue of tax abatements for developers been addressed? It needs to be. If abatements for developers were ‘cut out’ our town would be in a far better way. These developers act like they’re doing us a favor! Basically we have more backed up sewage when it rains and less places to park- that are such a premium now! Why not let someone buy/develop a property who is going to pay taxes on the land now and not 10-20 years from now!
