The Kennedy Dancers performed at St. Joseph’s School for the Blind in Jersey City

Featured was the World Premiere of Dragone’s latest choreography “My Obsession with Cats,” an homage to the stray pussycats that have made her Jersey City studio – and backyard – their home.

Dragone’s new kitty choreography featured songs like “What’s New Pussycat?” sung by Tom Jones and “The Siamese Cat Song,” from Lady and the Tramp. Three other choreographies were also on the program, including “Meadowland’s Serenade,” about migratory birds, “Force of Circumstance,” a piece by contemporary choreographer Sean Curran, and “La Dolce Vita,” a choreography Dragone created as a homage to her Italian heritage, performed to Rosemary Clooney’s “Mambo Italiano,” Dean Martin’s “That’s Amore!” and Louis Prima’s “Oh, Marie”.
