A funeral service was offered July 28 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension, Fairview, for George Pashalidis, 78. He passed away July 24. George was born in Athens, Greece and came to the United States in 1972. He was a machine operator with Meer Corp., in North Bergen, as well as being owner of George’s Hot Dog Stand in Weehawken for 40 years. He was also a parishioner of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension in Fairview. He was the husband to Anna (nee) Markopoulos; father to Eleni Gomez and her husband Jorge, Tina Cernuda and her husband Eduardo, and Eve Pashalidis; brother to Irene Mavridou; and grandfather to George, Joanna, Raymond, and George. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Services arranged by the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.
