WEST NEW YORK AND BEYOND — U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman announced on Thursday that a Hudson County man who admitted to twice travelling to Illinois to have sex with a 13-year old girl was sentenced on Aug. 4 to 250 months in federal prison.
Eric Duprey, 27, of West New York pleaded guilty in February to interstate travel with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, a press release from Fishman’s office said.
According to the release, on April 22, 2009, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Duprey’s West New York home looking for evidence of child pornography.
But they found more than they thought they would – in addition to the child pornography, officers found a “Sex Slave Contract” between Duprey and a 13-year old girl, several journals chronicling Duprey’s sexual abuse of children, and a detailed guide written by Duprey on how to seduce and manipulate teenage boys for sex, according to the release.
A computer itinerary recovered from Duprey’s computer showed that he had travelled to Illinois on the date specified in the sex slave contract, and Duprey later admitted to travelling to Illinois twice, the release said. Agents also found photographs of the victim performing a sex act on Duprey during the search of his home on a compact disc, the release said.
Duprey ultimately wound up admitting to his actions when confronted with the evidence, according to the release.
In addition to the prison term, Duprey was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release and was ordered to pay the victim $15,000 in restitution.
