HOBOKEN – If you live in central Hoboken and your air conditioner goes off for a few hours on Saturday morning, it doesn’t mean you broke it.
Hoboken City Hall said Thursday that PSE&G has scheduled system upgrades for this weekend that will involve planned power outages in certain areas of town.
The upgrades and planned outages are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. (Rain date: Sunday Aug. 8, 2010, same hours). Affected residents should have received notification directly from PSE&G, so if you haven’t heard about it, it’s unlikely it affects your neighborhood. However, City Hall said the following areas may be affected:
– 3rd to 5th St and 6th St to 7th St from Bloomfield St to Washington St
– 5th St to 7th St from Garden St to Bloomfield St and Grand St to Willow Ave
– 6th St from Adams St to Jefferson St, from Willow Ave to Park St, and at Washington St
– 6th St to 7th St from Adams St to Grand St
