Dear Editor:
Why was I not surprised to see Ron Simoncini as the contact for Toll Brothers’ 700 Grove luxury condo project? He is the head of Mile Square Taxpayers Association and Hoboken Revolt: The Hoboken Tax Reform Coalition. He lives out of the area. He is simply a hired gun for big money real estate interests in Hoboken, doing their dirty work. We need to fight for the Hoboken we love. If he “cares” about a community let him serve in his own on a local board. That’s what committed people do. And, if the real estate interests behind his efforts in Hoboken care about Hoboken, let them come out into the light of day and also take on a service mantle. Let them earn the right to preach to us, by showing they care in multiple ways about our community, not simply about their engorged “assets.” Thank you.
